FAQ

Why isn't screen time verification working?: Off Hero needs FamilyControls permission to verify screen time. Go to Settings → Screen Time and ensure it's enabled, then re-authorize in the app. Note: verification only works on physical devices, not the Simulator.
I lost my progress after updating.: Game data is stored locally via SwiftData. If you deleted and reinstalled the app, local data is lost. Enable iCloud Backup to protect your progress.
How does the earning formula work?: gold = offline_time × gold/s × multiplier × (1 + streak%). Phone usage during your away time is subtracted — only genuine offline seconds earn gold.
Can I cheat the system?: No. Off Hero uses Apple's DeviceActivityMonitor with 128 threshold checkpoints across 4 schedules. Actual phone usage is measured and deducted from your earnings.
How do streaks work?: Earn 60+ minutes of offline time in a day to maintain your streak. Streaks grant up to +100% bonus gold. Missing a day resets to zero (unless you have the Streak Shield rune).
